Sketch 19 Day 19 - I'm a Phantom of the Opera noob and the music has me singing like silly. Oh and I like how the female lead character has a name similar to mine, biased much YES. The sequel is currently showing in Melbourne.

ASAD Sketch #16 - Miss Professor Layton
Sketch 16 Day 16 - Here is my lady version of Professor Layton. She is just as inquisitive and her voice would kinda sound like Jodie Fosters'.
Always been a fan of the Professor Layton series. Was trying to crack a puzzle today :S I'm a puzzle-buff.

ASAD Sketch #10 -Vintage Clothing Store Chick
Sketch 10 Day 10 - Vintage Clothing Store Chick
Went to Fitzroy yesterday to help a friend sort out her ideas for her wedding. Fitzroy is soooh hip. Full of eye-candy. The people dress so snazzily..hipsterly? I was wearing gym wear (as I thought we were just gymming), so I kinda felt out of place. Anywho, my friend was after a tailcoat for the grooms men and we dropped by a vintage clothing store. The sales lady grabbed my attention. She was wowsers. I took a non-creepy mental picture of her. And came up with this. She's Fitzroy all over.

ASAD Sketch #9 - On Hold
Sketch 9 Day 9 - On Hold
I missed submitting an asad haven't I. Yep. Was a lil busy yesterday and time wasn't nice to me. The old excuse in the book. But no probleymos, I've made up for it. So this sketch is kinda what I felt yesterday. Being held up and all. And also seems fitting with the whole "Rapture" hullabaloo. I did feel kinda raptured. Whatever that means.

ASAD Sketch #7 - Back in my Day
Sketch 7 Day 7 - Back in my Day
Inspired by Frankie Magazine's story on the lives of some oldies. I admire old people stories. Don't think we'd ever remember history without them.

P.S I Made This by Erica Domesek
I'm on the verge of making my own d-i-y stuff but still need to source materials. Dang. This lady has beat me to it. In the same vein as her appoach - she sees something she likes and emulates it. Like crafty couture. Pretty creative stuff!

Anna See
I squealed like a chipmunk when I saw these. Anything to do with forest/woodlands and its wildlife fascinates me. Not sure why I like forests in particular, there's just something calming about the place. Or could stem from childhood memories when I only knew of Disney's interpretation of forests. ie. Bambi and Alice in Wonderland.
These lovely prints are by Anna See and were hand-printed using hand-carved linoleum woodblocks. Check out more of hand-printed goodness available in her etsy shop.

Pop Art by Andy Awesome
Keep it simple stupid.
These icons of pop culture paintings (yes paintings!) were created by Andy Awesome, and luckily he lives up to his name. Oh the power of pop culture, just the colours alone are recognisable. Check his art. Indeed awesome!

Sibella Court
Paper Whites |
Trade Winds |
Travellers and Magicians |
Tales of a Sea Gypsy |
I adore the interior stylings of Sibella Court. She just has an eye for beauty with an old-worldly and whimsical nature. I first discovered her as one the judges from the 2009 tv show homeMADE (that no one seemed to watch at the time) Though it was flop, I actually enjoyed the show and found a new love for interior decorating. Sibella has two books out that I'm coveting for - "etc" and "The Stylists Guide to NYC".
